Olivia Bornyi

PRESIDENT

Olivia Bornyi is a second-year Master’s student, researching the intersection of peace narratives and community engagement for sustainable development. Currently interning with Interpeace’s PeaceTalks Initiative, she applies her experience in community engagement, policy development, and partnership-building to shape positive narratives on peace in Geneva.

As President of the Peacebuilding Initiative, Olivia advances the #YouthPeaceSecurity agenda by fostering innovative opportunities for young people to learn about activism, international systems, and cooperative diplomacy. Her prior experience at McGill University’s Office of Indigenous Initiatives included communications, research, and project management in the human rights and policy context. Committed to building sustainable societies through humanitarian diplomacy, Olivia continues to demonstrate that youth are integral to shaping and sustaining peace. She has actively contributed towards the peacebuilding community in Switzerland: attending the inaugural Caux Arts and Peace Encounters weekend; speaking and workshop facilitation at Geneva Peace Week; member of the Youth Advisory Group to the International Cooperation Forum 2026, and will attend the Basel Peace Forum (2026).
